The comic series was first launched in 1998 in Wildstorm Comics by Jim Lee. Danger Girl features the adventures of a treasure hunter named Abbey Chase. She was recruited into a secret group headed by a Deuce, a former MI-6 agent and was paired with operatives Natalia Kasstle and Sydney Savage to form a trio. The series’ primarily features the kickass trio’s adventures in different parts of the globe, trying to find mystical artifacts.

The Danger Girl series is said to be a perfect mix of Charlie’s Angels, Indiana Jones, and James Bond.

It has been years since the news about making the hit series into a movie came to public. In 1998, it was first set up in New Line where Campbell and Hartnell wrote the script. The production company BenderSpink was shopping the movie rights back in 2012 with Milla Jovovich, Sofia Vergara, and Kate Beckinsale as the stars.

Since 2010, Askareih himself has been working with the rights along with Todd Lincoln at the helm of the movie. But, now that Askareih is working with Constantin and Bolt, the project seems to be aligned, finally.
