Durant Impressed by Irving’s Decision in Trade Request

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – It is not hidden that Kyrie Irving has caused some stir in the NBA scene because of his trade request away from LeBron James and his team. Some league fans blasted him for such request.

Kevin Durant thought that this move by Irving was totally understandable. In fact, he applauded the fellow basketball star’s decision about the trade-off.

Durant underwent something similar to Irving’s trade experience last year. This is quite the same as Durant’s decision to leave his then team, Oklahoma City Thunder, for the Golden State Warriors, joining Stephen Curry and his team’s lineup.

On Wednesday night after the practice of the Warriors, Durant stated before the reporters that Irving just chose the basketball route. In addition, he also stressed that Irving wanted to go somewhere with his career and maximize his basketball skills.

This move by Irving seemed admirable by Durant because of the tough choices he made related to his basketball preference and his overall career.

Durant mentioned that this trade request by Irving was indeed a “basketball move” and that he applauded him for making the most respected decision to keep the ball moving. Hence, Irving for him is playing the best basketball in the league.

Irving through his first 14 games with the Boston Celtics garnered an average of 20.6 points and 5.2 assists per game.

Both Warriors and Celtics are doing well in this year’s season with standings 11-3 and 13-2, respectively. These standings make the two teams part of the best ones in the league.

The Celtics, on the other hand, had a 13-game winning streak after two losses during the start of the season. Evidently, there is more to both Celtics and Warriors until the most anticipated NBA Finals.

This trade request by Irving joining the Boston Celtics makes him jump up his leadership role and a good influence on the team.
